Some New Year’s resolutions are easier to keep than others. Even if you don’t take part in new year’s resolutions, there is something to be said about looking for ways to better ourselves and our communities.
Read on to learn five great resolutions/goals that will serve you well in the new year and for a lifetime.

1. Share Kindness

It’s been a rough couple of years  for most of us. Sometimes the simplest gestures or kind words can not only brighten someone’s day but have a truly meaningful impact. Share your goodwill and smiling face with the world. Kindness goes a long way!

2. Simplify

Cut the chaos. Ask yourself if you really need all of those mason jars taking up space in your pantry.  Pare down, donate, sell or recycle items that you part with. You’ll feel so much lighter when you start to see a difference around you.

3. Be of Service

Find a local organization or charity in need of volunteers. You can even just help out an elderly neighbor with yard work. There are so many ways to be of service every day if you look around. You’ll get so much more out of it than you give!

4. Learn a New Skill

Always wanted to learn how to play the guitar? Wish you learned to ski? Now is the time to do it!  Keep it simple. One new skill at a time. You can finish the new year knowing you’re all the wiser.

5. Be Curious & Explore

Don’t wait to explore the world! There’s nothing like experiencing new places and cultures. If you don’t have the budget for a big trip just yet, try traveling to different towns in your home state. There is so much to discover out there!

Shouldn’t we all try to improve ourselves with each passing year?

Happy New Year!
